There are several fundraising opportunities throughout the school year at St. Mark’s.  While people pledge donations to the Annual Fund throughout the year, our main Annual Fund event is the Parents’ Club Fiesta.  This springtime event is a huge party complete with food and dancing!  During Fiesta, we hold both a silent and a live auction.  Silent auction items range from jewelry to event tickets to photography sessions.  The live auction normally boasts a grand trip, elaborate gift baskets, and student or class artwork.  The other major fundraisers for the Parents’ Club are the Christmas greenery sales and the magazine sales.

Our other major fundraiser is for the Athletic Booster Club.  We have a food booth at the Red River Revel.  Our parents, teachers, and alumni staff the booth during the two-week-long arts festival.

For many years, our students have supported the Shreveport K9 Unit.  To accomplish this, classes take turns hosting a monthly bake sale with all proceeds going to the K9 Unit.  Students enjoy yummy homemade goodies at lunch once a month and take great pride in supporting  the Shreveport Police Department.  Officer Clint Cain conducts a K9 demonstration for our students every spring.

How’d you like to be waited on by your teachers?! Once a year, our teachers and administrators work at Johnny’s Pizza Night.  Families enjoy eating pizza and visiting with each other, and a percentage of the sales is donated to our school.  We also hold similar fundraisers through other local restaurants.
