St. Mark’s provides every student with opportunity for academic excellence, but tuition alone falls short of current funding requirements. The Annual Fund bridges the gap and contributes to the school’s endowment. Gifts of any size will make a big impact. Contributions and pledges will be accepted through June 30th.
Our Annual Fund campaign will enable our school to fulfill its mission to develop students who are self-confident and academically, socially, and spiritually educated, who then can reach out to help others in the community . The Annual Fund allows us to go beyond the basics and provide extras that constitute the St. Mark’s Difference. It allows us to provide additional technology, special projects and capital improvements.
Many people do not understand the costs of attending a private school and feel the tuition they pay should take care of all expenses. At St. Mark’s our salaries and benefits for teachers and staff account for 84% of our budget. This leaves 16% to cover all other expenses from the utilities to textbooks. Tuition alone can’t cover this full cost, so the Annual Fund makes up the difference. Our Annual Fund is spent in the following ways:

20-45% Special Projects
Donations allow the school to start new programs and help strengthen existing ones. Your support is as important as the amount of your gift.
The Annual Fund drive encourages participation, not denomination. We are very proud of the fact that our faculty has a long-standing tradition of 100% participation!
Our Admission and Development Director is Mrs. Sarah Cantwell. Mrs. Cantwell works hand-in-hand with our Head of School, Dr. Carter, and with the Parents’ Club President, Mrs. Pam Dethloff, to create fundraising opportunities for our school that positively affect our mission.
