St. Mark’s cheerleading is open to all girls in 6th – 8th grades. Our cheerleaders cheer at Jets football games and St. Mark’s boys’ basketball games as well as lead quarterly pep rallies. Cheerleader practice is held on Tuesdays after school from 3:15-4:30 PM. Camp is held in June at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. The 2011 camp was held June 5-8.
To participate, girls must have an SMCS cheerleader uniform, shoes, and jacket, as well as camp outfits. These items are ordered thru Varsity Cheerleading each April.
